Hi, I have discovered (think so ;-) ) the source of the problem. myspell-dictionary should: - be in the OpenOffice.org.rpm's "provides" list (OOo v1.0.1 default on SuSE 8.1) - not be in the list of mozilla-spellchecker.rpm's "requires" list, as in the previous versions did not exist, so why should it now? A temporary solution (until SuSE fixes this) would be to force the rpm installation (rpm -Uvh --nodeps) without dependency check when installing mozilla-spellchecker rpm. Another problem would be with the packages of Samba3 (this time this works for SuSE 8.2) downloaded from: ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/people/gd/8.1-i386/samba3-3.0.0/ that require "libattr.so.1(ATTR_1.0)", as opposite to the previous versions of Samba that require only "libattr.so.1" to be installed. In SuSE 8.2, libattr.so.1(ATTR_1.0) is provided by libattr-2.4.0-14.i386.rpm, so, becuase of the gcc/glib differences, I downloaded the .src.rpm from the 8.2 distribution default set of rpms, reecompiled it, and I got 3 rpms: libattr-2.4.0-14.i386.rpm, libattr-devel-2.4.0-14.i386.rpm, attr-2.4.0-14.i386.rpm, as opposite of the 8.1 rpm that had only 1 rpm called attr. Now, I cannot install either of the 2.4.0 rpms (the ones from the 8.2 set) because it breaks many dependencies due to the fact that between 8.1 and 8.2 SuSE broke the attr package into 3 different packages. when trying to install mozilla-spellchecker 1.5. Where do I find this package for SuSE 8.1?
This problem is on SuSE 8.2 too. I don't think the package exists now. We have to wait for SuSE to fix it.
