Thank you... Come to think of it, I should of know. anyway I did some reading and some things still confuse me a bit. In README.Suse there is some info on tls and certificates and SASL_README contains good info on enabling sasl. These are different services, sasl and tls, but second can't be used without first, am I right?
If I go on and recompile postfix with sasl do I have to recompile cyrus-sasl too ?

if you look at the rpm you'll see that the postfix docu gets installed in:
/usr/share/doc/packages/postfix/
in there there is a file:
/usr/share/doc/packages/postfix/README_FILES/SASL_README
and /usr/share/doc/packages/postfix/README.SuSE
which may be of use.
