I think more of the quote just goes to show their ignorance........

But Lawal and others said Microsoft is not unique in its vulnerabilities.
"We have a Linux server that has three times the critical updates as our
Windows server," he said.
Nathan Hanks, managing director at Continental Airlines, said, "All the guys
hacking Windows are Linux guys." Continental was hit hard by SQL Slammer and
"our CEO said we'd failed," Hanks said.
"We cannot have undocumented servers that are responding to anonymous
queries ... that allow buffer overruns," Hanks said. "CIOs need people in
place to figure out why port 1434 is open on publicly exposed firewalls."
Lawal said all companies need to have proper processes and personnel in
place to deal with potential breaches.
He also said he was impressed with Microsoft's response to the problems.
Gordon Mangione, vice president of SQL Server, hosted a conference call with
all the affected CTOs, and within a day Microsoft was mobilizing resources,
he said. "We don't get that from Microsoft competitors," Lawal said. "Having
said that, we said some bad words."
Having one vendor throat to choke is helpful in crisis situations, Hanks
said. An IT pro can't go to the CEO and say that a server is down, "and
hopefully some guy in Amsterdam" will get to a fix when he gets back from
the "dope house," he said.

Kinda like saying "we screwed up because our firewall was open, but it's
Linux's fault" or along those lines.
If he blames Linux for all those hacks, does this mean Linux is far more
powerful than Windoze??
Hmmmm......

May be I'm searching wrong direction but I couldn't find the 'potheads' statement yet but found all others.
Anyway, with anyone's option it's like with the ass, everyone gets one :) (I've heard this somewhere and like it) so give the guy a break - the world colored just one way would be boring wouldn't it?

According to Nathan Hanks, managing director at Continental Airlines Linux developers are a bunch of potheads.

There is no hope for security across the board when stupid companies hire stupid people for critical positions.
Flown that airline a couple of times (food on the international flights sucked), but that was very offensive.
Dunno, being in the States for 4 years leads to the first impulse to sue...This must be in the burrito's or something :).
Seriously, there are other things he says that h needs to prove, like saying all his attacks come from Linux users (funny, most of the crap I get is from Windows vulnerabilities spreading their vile across the 'net).
