Rich, I'm not a samba expert, but I am assuming that you have designated the share on windows properly? In other words the read-write permissions are a function of the windows share, not the computer mounting the share. Don't know version of windows you are trying to share, but you should right click on the share drive and under properties make sure the proper access has been given, then whoever mounts that with the proper password should have read and write permission. wayne ----- Original Message ----- From: Richard A Sharpe

I have got myself confused, how do you make a Windows share read/writeable using samba, I can attach just fine and read but can not get write perms on the share through the samba mount point.
Thanks Much
