Hello... I just picked up a used Scanjet 4p (which the previous owner says worked fine). I connected it to a recent SuSE 8.2 box (SCSI = Buslogic BT-946C). All I can get out of it is: scanimage: open of device hp:/dev/scanner failed: Error during device I/O Some googling showed me how to turn on some debugging, which leads SANE to dump out all kinds of crap, like: balin:/etc/sane.d # scanimage -d hp:/dev/scanner [sanei_debug] Setting debug level of hp to 1. Thanks for any help that anybody can offer.. -Nick
