I'm using 8.1 Pro. This is the one and only Suse I've ever used, but kPackage, wasn't that the installation system before YAST? I did some brief research through Google and found some information indicating that kPackage was not included in Suse 8.1.
I can not find anything about kPackage on my 8.1 Pro system.
If you're using KDE, check in the menu under System > Configuration. kPackage should be there. It's a part of KDE. If you don't find it there, how about this? The same thing should be able to be accomplished in Yast. If you could search GnuCash in Yast, then right-click within the windows formed by the 'technical data' and 'dependencies' tabs, select all and copy the information into a reply to me, that should produce the same results. Again, this may help. I don't know. I'm just fishing right now.
If you don't have the time, or don't want to take the time, don't worry about it. Just let me know.
Bernd, GnuCash is installed on my home system. I'll get back to you with the info you requested either this evening or tomorrow. Matt
Thanks,
Bernd
