Dear Lists, This PC has a large and growing collection of MP3s; they are getting to be a pain to manage. I use a SLIMP3 ethernet connected stereo component player so I don't really need a player. The SLIMP3 server app has no editing functions :o( There is a cool windows app that displays ID3 tag info in a tool-tip 'bubble' when the cursor rests on the file. It also adds a tab in the Windows properties that allows editing of that files ID3 tag. If there something like this for X it would be perfect. It is called "MP3-info Shell Extention" V3.3.17. A more database like app would also be welcome. Please share your experiances! Thanks . ......... PeterB p.s. besides encoding my own CDs I am a paying customer of EMUSIC http://emusic.com I have found lots of great music there; reasonable too. -- Proud to be a SuSE Linux User since 5.2 --
