I have the WACOM Graphire2, also USB. I didn't have to do anything, it just gets iinstalled. Only during installation it doesn't work, but after the first reboot it works.
Could you provide your /etc/X11/XF368config here so I can take a look how it got done automatically, since I still can't get this working. And I have rebooted already from yesterday.
