Ik vond je bovenstaande artikel in Google en zit met eenzelfde probleem. Ben jij er uit gekomen? Zou jij me misschien verder op weg kunnen/willen helpen?

Het probleem heb ik vanavond ook op de nieuwsgroep alt.os.linux. suse gepost. Ik kon helaas in Google niet vinden waar jouw bericht vandaan kwam. Suse support wil me niet helpen.

I just installed Suse 8.1 and wanted to install an upgrade of the operabrowser. But when I want to upgrade my Opera 6.3 browser that is included in the Linux Suse 8.1 pack, I get problems.

I have to install the downloaded .rpm with Yast2, as Kpackage does not

In Yast2 I get, clicking the the downloaded file in

An Opera page 6.11 first, (with on top install button): -->current packages --> writing system configuration -->building linker cache, that's what it does. Then the Yast 2 screen disappears and I get the first mentioned Opera 6.11 page back in screen (with install button on top). But Opera 6.11 is not installed. I tried to upgrade in both the static and the Suse downloaded version.

I cannot find libXm.so2 anywhere on the installationDVD.

Does anyone know how to get in an easy way the newest version of the Operabrowser in my Linux Suse 8.1 system? I have a similar problem with the newest version of the Netscape browser.

Can anybody help me where to find a thread or more information to this strage behaviour of Suse 8.1?
