Is it possible to have a sub network. At the moment I have the server running on 212.216.116.40 and I would like to run the terminal's on a network range 192.168.0.1 upwards. The server is running SuSE ver 8, and the terminal's are pc's running Cygwin; at the moment they are on the same network and work great, but I have been told that I can only keep the single IP address because the college where I work want the other address range.
Just add another NIC to your server, run your clients off the new NIC in the 192.168.0.x range. If you want to give internet access to your clients, run SuSEfirewall2 and masquerade the private network range. I don't think it can be done without adding a NIC. -- Joe Morris New Tribes Mission Email Address: Joe_Morris@ntm.org Web Address: http://www.mydestiny.net/~joe_morris Registered Linux user 231871 God said, I AM that I AM.
