Never before , in the course of human history have so many been confused quite so easily. But HEY! Who am I to swim against a tide, so here goes my attempt at it. newest things I've noticed lately are the "security "keys" which are some sort of USB gadget that looks like a little tiny hard drive and which , I'm told has some sort of "number password " or perhaps an alpha numeric password built into it .. that gives you a "thing" ( the usb gadget ) and a password ( whatever login password you use ) to get onto your box. They recommend everyone w/ a laptop get one ( semi logical , IF it works) and most folks w/ computers that they want to keep private info private on. Problem is, the software is all for Windows , natch. So, I'm wondering, if it's all that good, should I try to install the software using wine ( don't have a windows partition ) and has anyone gotton it to work in a linux, esp SuSE Linux (8.1) box, who might be willing to share the "howto" do it info? I'm not cross posting so anyone from the security list also feel free to jump in It just seems there are more "generalists" on this list . <VBG> TIA -- j afterthought: Somebody! PLEASE! STOP ME before I upgrade again!!!
