if you have a USB device, you probably can't use the version of JPilot that SuSE supply. This is because you will probably need pilot-link 0.11.x for USB, for which you will need a later version of JPilot. (I say "probably" because some people have reported that the SuSE versions have worked with their USB devices, but the docs and my experience say that you'll need the later versions! YMMV) This depends on which version of PalmOS. Handsprings tend to sync well with the SuSE version of jpilot and pilot-link. The Palm mxxx series needs the later versions.
