Anyone know if there are going to be official (or at least working) Gnome 2.2 RPMs for SuSE 8.1 anytime soon? I'd really like to upgrade and I'm hoping I don't have to wait for SuSE 8.2.
Look back through the list archives, GNOME 2.2 is dependent on fontconfig/Xft2 - since this fundamentally alters the setup of X, it's not likely that SuSE will produce packages this side of 8.2. -- James Ogley, Webmaster, Rubber Turnip james@rubberturnip.org.uk http://www.rubberturnip.org.uk Jabber: riggwelter@myjabber.net Using Free Software since 1994, running GNU/Linux (SuSE 8.1) GNOME updates for SuSE: http://www.usr-local-bin.org
