Did anyone knows how can i convert a ReiserFS partition to ext3?
I don't think that's possible.
The reason i want to do this is i want to transfer the linux partition to enother partition (bigger) with Norton ghost.
Not sure I understand. You mean you just want to copy the data from one ReiserFS partion to an ext3 formatted one? If so, take the volume offline and copy it.
Well this is the hole story: I have in my home PC 4 IDE disks: hda --> 80GB (Windows XP 2 partitions 1 NTFS, 1 FAT32) hdb --> 10GB (SuSE 3 partitions 1 /boot ext2 , 1 / ReiserFS, 1 swap) hdc --> 2GB (raw partitions for Sybase) hdd --> 13GB (Removable) What i want to do is: Take 15GB from the second partition of hda with Partition magic and copy hdb to that partition. Remove from my PC hdb and hdc because i want to buy 1 CD-RW and 1 DVD ATAPI. I can't copy hdb with Norton Ghost because the program cannot resize ReiserFS partitions, only ext2/ext3 partitions. PS: There is a way to do that. To install Suse again. -- Best regards ******************************** Nick Katsamas e-Mail: nkat@forthnet.gr ********************************
