Subject: UK ISP Question Okay, this was my original message:
I have just relocated from California to Ashford, Kent, in the UK. The house where I am living has a BT internet account, and it seems from their advertising material that you have to have windows or mac to use a BT account.
Can anyone recommend an reliable, affordable ISP in this area that allows linux connections?
And the answer, as I was advised by many, is that any ISP that accepts Windows and Mac connections, also accepts Linux connections, they just don't want to hear from you on their help lines. I am sticking with BTinternet then, but these alternatives ISPs were suggested: breathpro.com, plus.net, demon.net, and dial.pipex.com. Thanks to all who responded, particularly info who gave me a few other heads ups for the newly expatriated. NM
