Hi All, I am having a problem installing SuSE Linux 8.0 on a Dell PowerEdge 2600. I have created an update disk, but the newer megaraid 1.18f driver for 64GB-SMP kernels doesn't get copied across to the initrd. I have mounted /dev/sda2, the partition that everything gets installed to, and copied my newer 1.18f megaraid.o module to : /lib/modules/2.4.18-64GB-SMP/kernel/drivers/scsi/ I also un'gzipped and mounted initrd and initrd.suse and copied my newer modules to them, and unmounted, and gzipped them back up. However, when SuSE boots from hard disk after the initial installation (the one when it reboots and carries on installing), it *still* loads the older 1.18 megaraid module! Where is it getting this from???!! I have looked all over the initrd disks, and the target hard disk, and can not find any more versions of megaraid.o. Its not booting from the CD or anything, I don't have a cliue where its getting this older module from! Can anyone suggest anything? -- Thanks, Andrew McCall Internet/Linux System Administrator I.C.T.
