That's odd. Any time I enter *anything* different than the default string, lpr ${MOZ_PRINTER_NAME:+'-P'}${MOZ_PRINTER_NAME}, the new entry becomes default --for that printer--.
I also ought to be so :-)
When the 1st _Print_ window comes up, does the 1st entry window labeled _Printer:_ have 'PostScript/kprinter' in it?
Also here.
and then you click 'Properties'
it should say: Paper Size: 'what ever, for me "Letter (*.5x11 inch)"' Print Command: 'kprinter --stdin'
The Paper Size is equal :-) The Print Command is the default one. Not the 'kprinter --stdin'
Tell me if this is not so and I will put some pix on my web site to show you. ????
See above. This is my lines in the /usr/local/mozilla/defaults/pref/unix/unix.js file: *************************************************************************** pref("print.print_command", "lpr ${MOZ_PRINTER_NAME:+'-P'}${MOZ_PRINTER_NAME}"); pref("print.printer_list", "kprinter"); // list of printers, seperated by spaces
