egads, that is why I use Ogle -- only 4 RPM's to install -- worked flawlessly on RH, Mandrake AND SuSE with zero problems.... ciao Kat On Thu, 2003-01-02 at 23:29, Marino Fernandez wrote:
Ogle never worked for me while I was using Mandrake, and again, many things didn't worked while I was using mandrake, and that's why I am here.
But one thing that I took with me on my move to SuSE was xine.
Maybe you didn't loaded al the plugins. I did and xine works great... can you enter the DVD menu and play extra features and change the language ON THE SCREEN and all that stuff you do with a real DVD player, using Ogle?; can you play DivX and Xvid?; what about quicktime movies? (this last format if more tricky and requires the sorenson codec, and does not work with all movs)... with xine and all the plugins I can. Here is a list (not complete, but the basic stuff) of all the rpms you need: libxine0-0.9.13-2 xine-ui-0.9.13-2 libdvdnav-0.1.3-0 libdvdcss2-1.2.4-0 xine-dvdnav-0.9.13-0 w32codec-0.90-1 rte-0.5-3.i586.rpm em8300-0.13.0-4.i586.rpm xine-d5d-0.2.7 libxine0-dxr3-0.9.13-2 xine-xvid-0.9.0-1 xine_d4d_plugin-0.3.2-1 xine_dmd_plugin-1.0.7-0 libfame-0.9.0-3 libxine0-aa-0.9.13-2 xine-ui-aa-0.9.13-2 Install them in that order. You may need to delete Mplayer at some point (ah! who needs it). You can get them from the net, just look for them, they are all in one german site... since I am not sure if I can put the link here I won't, but if you can't find the site, let me know.
I'll be fair and try ogle myself.
