In windoze I just connect the cable and a transmitting program within the XP is launched automatically. Is there a chance of something similarly in SuSE 8.0?
Yes, I use the sandisk also, and it is great for Linux. However, I don't think you will see anything launch automatically as mentioned above in XP. Try mounting your card, then you should be able to access it like a drive. You can copy the photos to your pc and view and/or edit the photos with the programs of your choice. Two that I like are gqview and gimp. Create a mount point for your memory card, such as /mnt/compact flash. Then mount it with mount -t vfat /dev/sda1 /mnt/compactflash *************************************************** Powered by SuSE Linux 8.0 Professional KDE 3.0.0 KMail 1.4 This is a Microsoft-free computer Bryan S.
