Looking for the Borland newsgroups, I found a solution for this problem, caused (probably) by incompatibility between Kylix3 and kernel 2.4.19. Run Kylix, Delphi or C++, using the following command:
strace -fo /dev/null /usr/local/kylix3/bin/startdelphi & strace -fo /dev/null /usr/local/kylix3/bin/startbcb &
