One way of doing it, *if* you use KDE, is to go Control Center-Peripherals- Keyboard. In Primary Layout, choose U.S. English w/ISO9995-3, then Apply. You have to practice a bit to learn what does what *with* your keyboard. With mine, I press the Window icon key; then ' (single quote) with a vowel: á é í ó ú; with " (double quote): ä ë ï ö ü; with ^ (caret): â Ê; with , (comma): ç Ç; with ~ (tilde): ñ Ñ. The Window icon key with *double* ! ? produce ¡ ¿. *Many* characters are produced with Alt+ some key: æ Æ (Alt+a); þ Þ (Alt+p); ¢ (Alt+c); ð Ð (Alt+d); ß (Alt+s). Note: the Window icon key you press and release, then press the other key(s); the Alt key you press and hold while you press the other key(s).
Also, I don't see a "tm" (which is alt+0153 in windows), does the iso-latin have that one? If you go to K-Administration-Tools-Character Selector, you get a chart of all the characters in the ASCII list from 033 to 255. You'll see that © (Alt+C) and ® (Alt+R) are there, but not (tm).
