Eddie, First you need to figure out a way to make connection through a script or an executable, without any human interaction. Once you are done, you have a few options: you can use init.d process to run your script, or you can add a cron job to run every 10 minutes or so to first check whether you are connected or not and if not, runs your script. I hope that is descriptive enough, if not please let me know. Ali. On Friday 18 October 2002 3:36 pm, Edward F. Howson wrote:
Hi all
I have finally configured my speedtouch modem in SuSE 8.1 and it works well with kinternet. I can connect and disconnect at will. However, sometimes I want to remotely reboot my machine and then gain access to it. Does anyone know how I can configure my system to automatically start the internet connection without anyone needing to log in first. Would be grateful for any advice, tips etc or maybe someone has a script that will do the job.
Thanks in advance.
