hwinfo is a program, it will detect anything you have connected. It is not a database or file. For help, "hwinfo --help". -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson El 02.10.07 a las 17:24, Donn aka N5XWB escribió:

This is my first question to this list so I hope it fits.
How do you clear the "hwinfo" database. This system is SuSE 8.0/upgraded. I removed a Lexmark Z55 printer that was a Linux headache with 8.0. However, it still shows up with "hwinfo --printer". Shades of MS!
If there is a file that stores this data I have not found it yet. Ther is no "man hwinfo" and "hwinfo --help" does suggest any solution.
