Hi Stuart thanks for your help I will try and set up the way you suggested, I had all ready previously tried to set up XFree86, and what I did was to set up the X-Server on the NT box's but couldn't get them to connect to the SuSE v8 box. I am not quite sure how to locate X executable on Windows though, I haven't seen this program is it part of the Cygwin/XFree86 that can be downloaded. The server that I have is a Quad 450 mhz with 1 geg of Ram, and I need to run 20 machines of it. I have also tried to install VNC but without success I not quite sure what I am doing wrong.

This has a native XFree86 implementation for Windows that allows you to run X sessions properly. VNC does work for this, put the underlying protocol isn't really very well optimised for the task.
To use Cygwin, you set up the server as an X server (plenty of info on this in the SDB) and then install Cygwin onto the Windows boxes. Then, using the X executable on Windows, you can connect to the SuSE server and login to your own desktop as if you were logged in locally. I find that it works very well, and my sessions are faster this way than if I work locally on the server, as my server has a fairly slow video card.
Please be sure that your SuSE box is beefy enough to handle the load though, since working this way taxes the server far more than the client, as the server is doing most of the work. I read a story recently where someone using a dual PIII-933 box with 1GB RAM was able to comfortably serve 300 users this way. However, an old P-150 with 32MB RAM is unlikely to offer acceptable performance. I don't know what hardware you have available to you, but I thought this was worth pointing out.

Have a lok at VNC. You can install vncviewer on the 18 Windows macines. then you can start X-sessions on your Linux machine. Because linux is a real multiuser os it is possible to have a lot of users logged in at the same time.
