Hi all,
I'm trying to mount a windows partition to have rw access to it. The only way I managed to get the "w" access is by adding my uid to the fstab entry:
/dev/hda1 /windows/C vfat auto,user,uid=500,guid=100 0 0
The option is "gid" not "guid".
However now it is only this user which has rw access. I can't get the group to get "rw", the group always gets only read access.
I would prefer to have the a group, for example "disk" having the rw rights.
Try "gid=6,umask=007". regards Anders -- `When I use a word,' Humpty Dumpty said in rather a scornful tone, `it means just what I choose it to mean -- neither more nor less.'
