I would agree with. I'm personally waiting for the 2.4.19 release. I have has a look at the change log for this version and it appears to cover more devices and protocols then the present release. I have tried both the patch and the mantel updates (which contain many of the feature sets in the 2.4.19 kerne). Unfortunately, it isn't stable as of yet. On the upside though I think this next release will broaden the native kernel support for a wide range of devices and am looking forward to better hardware and configurations supported by this upcoming release. For 2.6.0, you must be meaning Sept. 2003. right? ;)
The 2.5 series goes into feature freeze on Oct. 31, but I think it is expected to take many months from that date until a 2.6.0 release. Personally, I hoping for next spring.
