Hi All, I have several servers which connect to a cisco catalyst 2950, which is uplinked to a cisco catalyst 3550, all ports on the 2950 are forced 100mbit/sec (FDX). My problem is that when I boot SuSE 8.0, the 3com or Intel NIC seems to have the insane ability to start in 100mbit/sec (HDX). I am using the mii-diag from: http://www.scyld.com/diag/index.html to force both the intel and 3com cards into 100mbit/sec (FDX). Is there a more sensible way to do this (the 3com and intel drivers are compiled into the kernel, since I like to roll my own kernel)? I can use the mii-diag program to set this, but if there is a better way, i'm all ears... -Bill
