Thanks a million, Jaska. Basically, did a manual search and delete on the subdirectories. I'll have to work on a script to do the same unless someone would like to produce one for me. Eddie On Tuesday 23 July 2002 11:29 am, you wrote:
Hi
I think You are using konqueror.. the thumbnails are stored under "~/.kde/share/thumbnails/xxxxx" directory... difficult to find the correct one, but anyway, they are there somewhere.

I drag a folder containing photos (jpg files) to my desktop from my smartmedia card. I have file preview selected so when I open the folder I can see the thumbnails. After deleting this folder, I drag a new set of photos from my smartmedia card (say, a week or so later). The folder has the same name and so do the files. I find that the thumbnail images are the same as the old ones and are not updated by the new images. This is a bit confusing. If I change the name of a file, the thumbnail is updated. If I change the name back I get the old thumbnail. If I click on the file the image opens and displays the correct photo. Does anyone know where the thumbnails are stored so that I can delete them? Or how can I get the system to update the thumbnails automatically? I'm using SuSE 8.0 and KDE3.0.2
Thanks in advance for the help.
