Hi, I just got the suse 8.0 from the ftp server, when I tried to install it from my hard drive; ie: made a boot disk, then chose start-installation and hard disk, I gave Yast the dir where my files are stored (hda5 vfat). It first went good but after it had formatted my linux partition it told the /dev/hda5 was already mounted and I was unable to mount it to /mnt/windows/D, It just ignored the warning and went a step further, and then, before installing the rpm, it told me the same thing but this time, i could not continue. I understand clearly why /dev/hd5 is already mounted since I'm running the install from it, what I don't, is how can I install then ? My idea was to burn the suse cd, but I only have a big directory where all the package are (a1, a2, ap1 and so on). So I'm unable to burn the CD, can some one give me a list of what files are supposed to be on cd1-cd2 and so on ? or explain me how do I install the suse from my hard drive. I looked hours in google, news group, irc, but no one could (wanted) to help me, so please if you have any idea, reply to this post -- Cheers, Akeru mailto:ikena@gmx.net
