Dear SuSE'ers, Just a quick note to relate my cool experiance with add a new ATA HD to my 8.0 LVM system. After taking care of the phisical install and configuration of the bios, I rebooted and the kernel correctly detected the raw, empty HD. I opened KDE control panel, went to YAST2 and selected "Partitioning" then "LVM". Adding the new HD as "file sys "LVM' was intuitive and easy and once I selected "Finish" the process recommended rebooting which I did. Painless, simple and quick! If you had started in computing with IBM 370 era systems you would be VERY IMPRESSED with the sheer sophistication of our favorite flavor of Linux PeterB
