I just tried the mem parameter with the Suse Safe Installation but was greeted with the same red error dialog. Any other suggestions out there? -Steve -----Original Message----- From: Steve.Drew [mailto:Steve.Drew7@btopenworld.com] Sent: Wednesday, July 10, 2002 8:40 AM To: suse-linux-e@suse.com Subject: Re: [SLE] Trying to install Suse 8.0 Pro on a Compaq Proliant 1600R Try using the Safe Installation, but replace the defaults with 'mem=XXXM' where XXX is the MB installed in your machine or you can use 'mem=xxxxK to specify in KB the RAM count you see at boot time. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Steve Theodorou" <stheo@demandsolutions.com> To: <suse-linux-e@suse.com> Sent: Monday, July 08, 2002 8:22 PM Subject: [SLE] Trying to install Suse 8.0 Pro on a Compaq Proliant 1600R
Hello, I was wondering if anyone on this list has had any luck installing Suse 8.0 Professional on a Compaq Proliant 1600R. <snip>. The last thing which tries to load is ncurses after Suse installs the ramdisk. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Steve
