Hello, I've been moving my machines (a laptop and a desktop) around a lot from one office to another and having to change the network settings. Today I've made what I hope is the final move for a while and tried to get things set up..but they are not working. Now in this office we have a network of windows computers with a gateway to the internet on 192.168.0.1 In my little corner I have my desktop connected to the office network (through 192.168.0.50/eth1) and I can connect to the other computers and the internet fine. I have physically connected my laptop to my desktop through a separate hub and ethernet card with the network addresses 192.168.15.200 (laptop) 192.168.15.2 (desktop eth0). However this connection is not working, I can't ping either way. On the desktop I have made the default route to the windows internet gateway and have tried making an addtion to the route table for the network 192.168.15.0. I don't really care about accessing the internet and the office network from the laptop - I just want to be able to access the laptop from the desktop so that I can use NFS between the two. Anyone got any suggestions? TIA, Jethro
