I was under the impression that the YaST2 ftp module was out or damn close to being released. I could have sworn that it was released at the same time that 8.0 was put on the ftp site. I would check to see if there isn't some YaST2 updates your missing to provide this functionality. Also, 3.0.1 is part of the YOU updates or so everyone has been saying. You could also use Apt. I started with a fresh install of 8.0 and directly afterwards install the apt rpm's and ran apt-get upgrade and it rocked...updated everything with little or no interaction from me after I told it what I would accept. Pretty slick...SuSE would do good to adopt this and even write a YaST2 frontend for it. It's pretty slick. :) * David Robertson (der@dsl.pipex.com) [020624 00:50]: :: ::I think its a shame that YaST1 has gone - it was easy to update via ftp ::from a variety of sites, eg SuSE supplementary or people. As far as I ::can see there's no way to do that with YaST2. Its a bit of a pain having ::to down load individual files and install them manually. -=Ben --=====-----=====-- mailto:ben@whack.org --=====-- Tell me what you believe..I tell you what you should see. -DP --=====-----=====--
