When I installed 8.0, I told the machine EXT3. When it finished, the root was EXT2, and the rest was EXT3. On a 166 Pentium, the system is way too slow. But it does work. I have no idea whether the FS is the slow-down cause; 7.1 ran fine on this hardware. --doug At 02:03 06/06/2002 +0800, Jethro Cramp wrote:
Has anyone else had problems with making an ext3 partition in SuSE8.0? If you try and do it in Yast2 it just barfs.
Tried to use mkfs and it appears that there isn't a mkfs.ext3 installed.
I'm trying to use the intermezzo system and I need to format the drives as either ext2 or ext3.
