Just tested this.
Went to /Acrobat5/bin and clicked on acroread. 5.0 came up (which is what I want). Ran Acrobat5/bin/acroread in command line and 4.0 launched. ????????????? Same file, same place, different program.
Now, I did not uninstall 4.0. Why? I want to make sure 5.0 works before I screw something up.
Thoughts?

OK, I just upgraded Acrobat to 5.05. I installed it via sh ./INSTALL, it loaded itself and everything was fine.
Now, when I click on a pdf file it still loads with Acrobat 4.0. I'm sure I need to change a file association somewhere, but I don't know where.
Your turn.
