I confess that I don't know the answer to your question. What I can tell you follows from my post yesterday "Ethernet card for notebook". That is, if you buy a D-Link DU-E100 ethernet adaptor, you can change a USB port into an ethernet port. If you do that, you can network with any other ethernet device, and tranfer files between computers with the "scp" command. Of course, if your notebook already has a working ethernet port, you don't need to buy the adaptor. Sorry if that's not really what you wanted to know. regards, Robert Storey On Mon, 2002-06-03 at 06:48, Art Fore wrote:
Hi
Does anyone have any info on drivers to transfer files between 2 computers via USB port? I have USB cable with builtin chip for this purpose that works great with Win2K. Would like to get it to work with Linux. The cable is Compusa Link Cable.
