I wanted to thank you all so much for your help. I removed snmp and will add it later if needed, once I decide on a monitoring tool. Christopher Mahmood wrote:

this worked for some of my machines, but the machines that have snmp installed gave me this error: error: failed dependencies: snmp conflicts with ucdsnmp-4.2.3-79
Since there is not yet an update for snmp, is there any way to install ucdsnmp? To my knowledge, no one is actually USING snmp on this machine, so I don't really care if it breaks snmp.
ucdsnmp and snmp are the same thing, at least since 7.0 or so. If you have a package named snmp installed you need to remove it before installing ucdsnmp.
If nobody is using this stuff then you really shouldn't install it...it's a pretty big liability.
