Ok, ok, I want YaST1 back NOW. Despite what whoever said, _none_ of the features of YaST were added to YaST2 - not that I can see. Amount others, I nolong have the option of specifying what device I want to use in the network cfg (I used to be able to choose Enter Other> eth0:1). I'm forced to choose from a drop down list instead. I see that the network rcfiles are now very redhat-ish. I'm sure I can figure it out in a 10 mintues or so but I'm VERY unhappy with this situation. I just read throught the networkgin section of the manual and no advies on adding aliases appears that I can see. Don't get me wrong, it's not that I'm incapable of figuring out how to edit these files byt hand, by why on earth isn't there an option to do it in YaST2? I've been an avid SuSE fanatic (supporter) since 6.3, but I'm getting very disgusted with 8.0 _very_ rapidly. Sorry for the rant but it's been a really long day and I'm sick of these ignorent, snoby bugs. DON'T break what's already working. It's a perfect way to make your customers mad - and loose them for good. Sincerely as can be.... -- ---------------------------------------------------- Jonathan Wilson System Administrator Clickpatrol.com Cedar Creek Software http://www.cedarcreeksoftware.com
