2 messages forworded below. What I'm wondering is: Do you think this is a Dell/RedHat thing only, or is it in the main kernel tree? Does the 8.0 kernel supports Intel Hyper threading? If not will the next mantel kernel (or whoever) have it? If still no, what would it take to add it? Just curious. All our servers and 90% of our desktops are Dell, and we run SuSE, not RedHat. ---------- ---------- These look interesting. 2 messages forwarded below. The guy who replied to the first one is Dell's head Linux engineer, so when he says it works it probably does :-) Of course, there's no garuntees that it works with SuSE default kernel (I'd almost presume it doesn't). But one of these days we're probably going to have to start patching SuSE's kernels ourselves anyway. I've done it several times at home, it's not too bad.
