OK, I have gotten SuSE Linux installed on my home system, but everytime I try to configure it to use the GUI my system hangs and the speaker goes into overdrive with beeps. I install the basics (just under 300 meg) and it goes fine, command prompt (SuSE prompt?) go into Yast and configure what I know for now. But as soon as I try to start up SaX my system goes belly up. It tells me what graphics card I have, and asks if I want to enable 3D on it, and no matter what I tell it (that being the options of yes/no) the system goes into epileptic fits. Here is a basic rundown of my system: MSI K7T266 Pro motherboard Athlon 1700+ cpu 512meg DDR RAM Chameleon GeForce3 Ti200 AGP w/64meg DDR memory 40gig Maxtor drive - running WinXP 30gig IBM drive - trying to run Linux DVD drive - forget brand Lite-On 24x12x12 CD-RW Linksys Ethernet card SupraMAX 56i modem Soundblaster 16PCI soundcard Think that wraps it up. Anything you can do to lead me back onto the path that is good and righteous would be appreciated! Greg Hicks
