I have been using a CTX-VL700 for some time now, you need to enter your own settings for optimum use.. 30-70 Khz Horizontal 50-160 Hz Vertical You don't specify what graphics card you are using nor the resolution that you are using... If you supply this info together with your XF86Config file (/etc/X11/XF86Config) as an attachment then we may be able to assist further.... regards Pete On Thursday 04 April 2002 16:51, you wrote:
Dear list,
I've just been installing Suse 7.3 using Yast2 on a AMD K2/300 and everything went fine until the configuration of the monitor. The monitor is within the list (CTX-VL700) so I select it and pres "test". However, then then screen becomes much smaller, with two wide vertical stripes on the right side. These stripes also contain part of the screen, so the screen is repeating itself on the right side. The main screen is blue, the stripes are red and green. During the whole setup, everything was fine. Also, the boot manager is working fine, using the full screen. Futhermore, the mouse is active over the whole physical screen; it's not that you see your mouse being repeated within the red and green stripes.
It's probably a simple configuration issue, but since I am new to Linux any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Kind regards,
