Hi
The problem is, that I need the SuSE RPM-packages, because the binaries from XFree86.org does screw up the permissions, so "normal" users are not able to start for example StarOffice 5.2, can not play any sound etc...
I believe that SuSEs own RPM packages does not have this permission problem.
Jaska.
Yes, and ftp.gwdg.de has the suse site mirrored, so you can get the SuSE rpms from ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/linux/suse/ftp.suse.com/suse/i386/supplementary/X I see from the page jonothan linked to that sunet.se has started mirroring as well, but they seem to be out of date. ftp.gwdg.de looks more current to me. For instance mantel/next on sunet.se still hasn't the 2.4.18 kernel. //Anders
