Hi, List:
OK, I give up and need your help. Someone in the list recommended that I got Kernel 2.4.16 to replace the 2.4.10 that came with the 7.3-personal. Yesterday, I embarked in that journey. My first stop was suse.com. I looked high and low, behind the curtains and under the bed, found lots of things to download, but nothing even remotely named Kernel. My next stop was kernel.org. There is a _beta_ 2.4.18 and a _patch_ 2.4.17. I *did* d'd the latter and then gunzip it, for the sake of curiosity, but I remember reading in this list, only a few days ago, someone was reverting to the 2.4.16 because of extreme problems with 2.4.17. After that, I visited more than ten sites, including linux.org, sourceforge.net and even bigmall.com. I can't find a 2.4.16 kernel to download! How's that for being a newbie?
