Having some spare disc space (and time), I copied my 3 7.3 Personal CD's to HD at /data1/SuSE/cd1, cd2, cd3. Now, when I try to point YaST2 to these - specifically /data1/SuSE/cd1 - it says "No installation data found on medium" and clicking More details gives "Could not mount the source medium". Of course, I thought, because it's already mounted. So, I unmounted it. But it makes no difference.
I can't find anything on the support database. Any suggestions.
Yep, use another, distributor independent tool than YaST2/YOU . Find more info at http://apt4rpm.sf.net
The tool at the above mentioned link can already be used at the rpm repository you just created at your harddisk...
Thanks. I looked there. But, that's not the route I want to go. My point is that YaST2 says you can do what I did. But. it doesn't work! I want to know how to make it work. Not download YetanotherYetanotherSetupTool. -- Vic
