Does anyone know is it possible to get Epox EP-DR02P3 IDE-RAID card working under 7.2/7.3 ?
Probably. Maybe not as a RAID controller, but at least as an ATA interface. Is it a Promise or a HighPoint chip?
In Epox home-page there is support for RH 7.1, but that uses an older kernel, and the driver is (ofcourse) binary...
Sounds like a Promise chip to me. IIRC, that module (ft*.o) is binary only because of Promise, not EPoX, and it does indeed work with all 2.4-series kernels. The RAID functionality of the chipset is contained within this module, and there's another part that's inside the kernel (and current *with* the kernel) to communicate with the RAID parts. Somebody step in if I'm out of line, here... -- -=|JP|=- Need a good geek? I'm unemployed!
