Amost. SO has printer drivers available that are propriatary and make easy printer connections, while OO depends on the Linux standbyes, lpd, CUPS and the rest. For me, the advantage is that OO includes, if you want it, the source. No propriatary security or privacy holes. JLK

who will win this battle?????
i shall ask which one is better
Actually, it depends on your needs. If you want an office app that presents a monolithic desktop then SO 5.2 is your app. If you want to have the parts of SO 5.2 broken out so you can access them without firing up the monolithic desktop then either SO 6.0 or Open Office 6.0 will be the one.
KOffice hasn't quite come to gether yet, and it may be a while before it reaches the sophistication of Open Office 6.0. Meanwhile, IMO, Open Office 6.0 is the one to bet on for the next year or so. But, this question may have to be reviewed every year, because KDE and KOffice have a higher rate of development.
