I've searched past mails on the list, but didn't find a complete solution for getting SuSE 7.2 to work with a Promise FastTrak 100 TX2 RAID controller. Hardware: 2 x PIII 1GHz (Asus CUX4X-D motherboard) 512MB RAM 2 x 40GB Quantum drives. - SCSI device listed at 3rd in my boot list I've downloaded the drivers from Promise and created the boot and driver diskettes. I can get SuSE 7.2 to install to the point of the 'base system'. I have been getting disk/bus errors during the install. - Support suggested moving the PCI card to different PCI slots, no difference. - Promise support told me to first install on a single stripe drive and then create the RAID1 mirror. I've tried that, but upon reboot it hangs. The drivers 'readme.txt' says to complete the driver install after reboot, but I can't get to that point.
