Hi Step-by-step... First start text-console by pressing ALT-F2, and write "xterm" and press enter. Then start the configuration tool Yast by writing "zast" and press enter. You will see a window opening with various options. Select "system administration" with down-arrow, and press enter. Then select "change configuration file" (the last line) Then browse down the file until You find "Start MySql" Set the value to "yes". (press enter, and write YES to the line). Then exit with F10, and SuSEconfig will be run. It will take some time. Then exit from zast. To close the text-console write "exit" After reboot MySql will start automatically. Jaska.
