The accepted standard way of connecting hubs together is with a CROSSOVER cable - that way it doesn't matter WHICH port you use - I usually use port 1 for the server / whatever is connecting to the network, the last port for a daisy-chain to the next hub, and everything in between for workstations. It's just a rule of thumb, not a standard, but you'll find yourself in a lot less agro if you do it all consistently. Jon --
