Hello All,
What is the correct syntax to back up a directory and all subdirectories to a tar.gz file on another partition.
I mounted data1 and data2. then I issued tar -czvf data1/home/keith/* /data2/LTP and it zipped along but I cannot find a tar.gz file for this. What did I do wrong?

Keith B.
P.S I ran that as root.
